We’ve all heard the mantra that reducing our CO2 emissions will improve our air quality, and the latest data from the Environmental Protection Agency says the answer to this is certainly not.
As reported in the Washington Post, air quality in the US has worsened due to the burning of fossil fuels.
But, in the case of California, this was caused by a new type of forest that has grown in the state.
The new forest, called the Redwood Forest, was formed in the late 1800s and is considered a carbon sink.
This means it takes CO2 out of the atmosphere and into the ground to create carbon-rich soil.
In the process, it produces an ever-increasing amount of CO2.
When this happens, it contributes to the air pollution problem that California is currently facing.
The EPA estimates that the Redwoods Forest is the largest carbon sink in the world.
It’s a particularly worrying issue because this type of carbon-absorbing forest can affect the air quality across the entire state.
What does this mean for the future of California’s climate?
The EPA says that reducing carbon emissions will help to limit the warming of the planet, and that this is a key reason for the state’s current record-breaking record-low temperatures.
But the agency is not the only agency responsible for this issue.
The US Environmental Protection Office has also been doing its part.
This group works with states and cities to improve air quality.
In January 2017, they announced a new program to make air quality measurements in cities.
In 2018, they started a carbon footprint analysis to determine which cities are having the greatest impact on air quality from their emissions.
They have also launched a program called California Air Quality, which helps to measure air quality and air quality trends in the country’s biggest cities.
It also works with universities and colleges to identify the areas that need to be better at monitoring air quality to mitigate future pollution problems.
It all sounds pretty great, right?
Unfortunately, the program doesn’t have much data to work with.
In 2017, the EPA issued a report saying that California has not been doing enough to improve the air.
This included an effort to improve data collection and analysis.
The agency’s own data shows that the state has not improved its air quality significantly over the last two years.
And, in 2018, the agency said that air quality levels in California are still the worst in the nation.
It says that air pollution has reached an unhealthy level in California.
That means the state is also suffering from a serious and growing air pollution crisis.
What to do about it?
California is a leader in this fight to combat climate change, and it’s not only because of the efforts of the state and the EPA.
California is also an example of how to make sure the air we breathe is clean and healthy.
But this is not just about protecting our health.
The state is the only major US state that does not require all vehicles to be powered by renewable sources of energy.
California also does not have a cap-and-trade system to control emissions, which means we are stuck with these emissions even if we switch to a new technology or switch to electric vehicles.
This is why it’s important for California to make good on its promises to reduce emissions.
It will be great for the economy, for the environment, and for people’s health.
So, what do you think?
Is there a way to reduce CO2 pollution in the Redstone Forest?
What would you like to see California do to help its climate?
