Forest Preserves, Japan’s largest and oldest forest preserve, is set to open in Aomori Prefecture on Monday, and it’s going to be a bit of a surprise.
The forest preserve will house more than 6,000 trees, some dating back to the late 1800s, including the most ancient of all, a tree dating back more than 2,000 years.
The new building is part of the country’s effort to revive its forests, which have been decimated by logging, mining, and urban development, and are being decimated again with climate change.
Forest Presets’ tree preservation will help restore the Japanese landscape and make it safer for people to visit, said Shigeru Ikeda, Forest Preserving director and a member of the Aomoru-based Shikoku Region Council.
The building will be part of Aomoora National Forest’s forest preserve.
Forest Presets has preserved trees for nearly a century, and the site itself is known for its rare and precious species of forest.
The preserve is located in the heart of Aum-Nen town, which is located near the Japanese city of Kumamoto.
In addition to trees, Forest Hills apartments in Aum, Japan, is slated to open next month, and will feature a rooftop garden.
Aum also has some of the world’s best forest habitats for wildlife, including many forest animals that live in the trees.
Ikeda told The Huffington Post that the building is a major step for Forest Hills, but more than that, it is a symbol of the success of the Japanese government’s effort.
“The building is an amazing sign of how successful our efforts are,” he said.
A few years ago, Forest Hill was part of Japan’s National Parks and Wildlife Service, and this is the first time that the preserve will be open to the public.
More than 500 people have applied for a permit to visit the new building, which will be built on the property of Aamori Prefectural Corporation, a Japanese municipal corporation.
At this stage, the building’s size is not yet known, but it is expected to house about 1,000 people, according to Ikedas office.
To make the building a little more welcoming, the project has enlisted a lot of Japanese celebrities to open the building.
When the building opens in October, it will be a rare glimpse into Japan’s future, and Ikedis hopes that it will draw tourists to the country.
It’s an amazing building, he said, adding that the park system in Japan has been very supportive of this building, and Forest Hills hopes to build an atmosphere that’s inviting.
