White House officials are pushing back on President Donald Trump’s assertion that the country is in “the midst of a major snowstorm.”
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Wednesday that Trump’s comments were “not accurate.”
In an interview with The Associated Press, Trump said that “we’re having the worst snowfall of any year.”
But Sanders said in a later statement that the president “believes in a healthy and bountiful winter weather season.”
The Associated Press was unable to determine how much snowfall has been recorded in the area in the past two weeks.
